You have masterfully crafted a story that was absolutely fun, sexy, sweet and hilarious!!!! And did I forget to mention, I had a big fat smile on my face the whole time I was reading this book.

The Matchmaker’s Playbook was outrageously fun, witty, and playful. This book is one of those reads that you will be devouring in one sitting. Trust me, you will fall madly in love with Ian and his buddy, Lex as they are your personal matchmakers.

She was fun, sexy and witty but just need to get pushed in the right direction to build her confidence when talking to her crush. As Ian transform Blake’s style, he begins to see her in a whole new light. He wants her. Will Ian be able to help Blake get her crush when he wants her for himself? Will Ian be striking out or will he find himself making one final play to get the girl?

The Matchmaker’s Playbook was utterly addicting!!!! This book had it all from banter, humor, charm, steam, and romance. I loved that RVD wrote this book in Ian’s POV. It allowed readers to get a fun insight on the inner workings of what he goes through when it comes to his dating services and Blake. So if you are looking for a book where an author wrote a perfect blend of humor, sass, romance, and charm then I urge you to read this book. Maybe some rules are meant to be broken, when it comes to love.

I was more curious about this book because of the moving images!
We meet Ian after he had less than a season in the NFL. He's back at college to finish his degree and he's also offering his services to help clueless women attract the attention of the man they've had their eye on. He's in the business with one of his best friends, Lex, and together they fix up 'ugly ducklings'.
Things start to change when he's assigned to Blake, his other best friend Gabi's new roommate. He finds her funny smart but he has a rule about dating clients. But what if she's 'the one' and he's convinced that the guy she's after is a douche?
Blake, to her credit, seems to truly enjoy Ian's company and doesn't judge him for his previous womanizing ways. But how can she love a guy who's not 100% sure he's worth loving.
Their back and forth banter is funny as are most of the conversations in the book. I'm really looking forward to Lex and Gabi's story.
One note- I would toggle off and on with the moving images. It can get distracting but more so the models chosen didn't reflect how I pictured them in my head and that made the book less fun for me.

I listened to this series backwards so I had a good idea of what happened with Blake and Ian after reading the second book, but that did not keeping me from loving this story. I adored it.

Blake is a true heroine...she's a tomboy. She is NOT a girly-girl. She's a jock and doesn't really even know how to be feminine. So she comes to Wingmen Inc. for help to win the guy that she wants (hint it's not Ian). Ian takes her under his wing and then finds that he really likes her...despite everything that's wrong about her.

OMG, the buildup of the romance was so good in this...and funny. I loved Ian and his whole cocky, unapologetic attitude toward women and hooking up. He's a total manwhore. He's not a guy that you should like as a hero...just dang, but Rachel Van Dyken makes it work. I love how she does that with these guys. They shouldn't be likable because they really are jerks when it comes to women...BUT she makes the reader fall in love with them. I love her writing for that.

Narration...one word...PERFECTION! I highly recommend this book in audio version.
